Business awards

Every two years, Campaspe Shire Council recognises outstanding local businesses through the GMCU Allianz Campaspe Murray Business Awards. 

The awards celebrate and acknowledge the work of businesses and individuals who have achieved excellence in their industry across the Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council.

Award categories

There are several award categories, covering the many different industries contributing to Campaspe’s healthy local economy. They include gongs for both businesses and individuals.

For businesses

The business award categories include:

• Best Home-based Business
• Best New Business
• Best Professional Service – Community
• Best Professional Service
• Best Retail Business
• Excellence in Hospitality
• Excellence in Manufacturing & Trade
• Excellence in Tourism

For individuals 

Individuals are also recognised at the biennial GMCU Allianz Campaspe Murray Business Awards in the following categories:

• Employee of the Year
• Young Entrepreneur of the Year 

People's Choice Award
